Interview with Eitan Bremler, Co-founder, VP Marketing and Product Management at Safe-T

Eitan Bremler, Co-founder, VP Marketing & Product Management at Safe-T talks about the challenges organizations face on the way to zero trust and how to tackle them.

1. Tell us how you came to be the VP Marketing and Product Management at Safe-T. How much of your typical day is involved in innovating tech for your customers?

I joined Safe-T as VP Marketing and Product Management after holding product management and product marketing roles in Radware and Radvision for 12 years. Much of my day is spent talking to partners, customer, and technology vendors, in order to hear from them about how they see the Zero Trust market and what needs they see in this space.

2. What are the applications or rather opportunities you seek to have with your product?

We see to be the leader in the Zero Trust Access space, to penetrate more markets across the globe and new verticals.

3. How did you approach your first 100 days at Safe-T?

My first 100 days in Safe-T were mainly spent learning Safe-T’s background, solutions and culture. I talked to all stake holders in the company with whom I would have interaction, to hear from them how they see the company, products and markets.

4. What are some of the unique lessons you have learnt from analysing your customer behaviour?

I learnt that while customers might be large corporations or small business, while they might be an energy company or a bank, when it comes to securing remote access, their needs are the same at 80% of the requirements. This helps us develop a solution which fits all our customers right off the shelf with minimal to no customization.

5. Safe-T was recently in the news for hosting a joint Zero Trust Virtual Event with Accenture. Can you elaborate more on the same?

We have been working closely with Accenture for the past 12 months. During this time, we have built a strong relationship with them and are soon launching a joint MSSP SDP service.

6. Safe-T recently announced acquisition of Chi Cooked LLC. Can you elaborate more on the same?

The acquisition is part of Safe-T’s strategy to become a “one-stop shop” for all proxy-related business requirements. The acquisition will complement Safe-T’s wholly-owned subsidiary, NetNut – an existing Data Centre proxy network – allowing customers to choose the best fit for their needs, as well as diversify Safe-T’s revenue source generated from the combined proxy businesses.

7. What are some of the common pain points that your customers commonly approach you with?

The common pain points we get from customers are the following:

  • Deploy a solution that does not require any installation on the endpoint devices
    • Allow employees in the office, employees working remote, and business partners to access corporate systems
    • Separate authentication phase from access phase
    • Segment between network segments – DMZ, LAN
    • Support different corporate systems –monitoring systems, logs collection systems, RDP servers, file shares, desktops, legacy systems, SSH machines, ERP, etc.
    • Solution must be easy for users to learn and use
    • Maintain highest levels of security
    • Ensure a low attack surface for the industrial facility
    • Solution has to be scalable, flexible, and agentless
    • The solution must comply with regulations and requirements
    • Integrate with corporate IDP and MFA systems, to add MFA to all access scenarios

8. What advice would you like to give to the upcoming Zero Trust Network Access Solution tech start-ups?

I would recommend to such a start-up to 1st define what are the main pain points they can address and what is unique about their solution.

9. Can you give us a sneak peek into some of the upcoming product upgrades that your customers can look forward to?

Unfortunately no

10.Which is the one tech breakthrough you will be on the lookout for in the upcoming year?

We will look for UBA capabilities integrated with ZTNA.

11. Please share a recent piece of content (can be video, podcast, blog, movie, webinar) that resonated the most with you with respect to tech or your work in general?

www.safe-t.com/can-healthcare-organizations-protect-their-sensitive-data/

12. What is the one quote that has stayed with you throughout your professional life?

“When considering a decision, collect as much data as possible which will impact the decision.”
